Beatrice Cottage is a beautiful coastal cottage, situated in a tranquil courtyard garden, set back 150 yards from the banks of the River Coquet. One of four traditional Northumbrian courtyard cottages, Beatrice Cottage has been lovingly renovated into a comfortable home from home. Sleeps up to 3 guests in two en-suite bedrooms.

Warkworth is a picturesque village with many shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The golden sands of Warkworth Beach are a mere 10 minute walk away from the cottage (or a 2 minute drive), making Beatrice Cottage ideally located for the perfect coastal getaway.

Great location in the village, by the river and an easy walk to the local restaurants. Couldn’t be better placed for exploring Northumberland.

We just got back from a wonderful weeks stay at Beatrice Cottage. The property is beautifully decorated, clean, tidy and very cosy. The cottage is well equipped and has all the amenities you need. We especially loved the big bath and it was great after a day out sightseeing. Warkworth is a great location for exploring the Northumberland countryside and coastline. Warkworth itself is a very pretty village with a beautiful beach only 15 minutes walk. We highly recommend Bertrams restaurant for brekkie and an evening meal. The view of the castle from the cottage windows is very special. Grace was a great host, super responsive and friendly! The lovely welcome basket and Prosecco was such a thoughtful touch. This place is a real find! Tucked away in a quiet part of the town, close to the River Coquet, it is a beautifully renovated cottage with a lovely homely feel and a five star standard of cleanliness. The bedrooms are very comfortable, each with an excellent en-suite bathroom. Especially good was finding the generous welcome basket and the bottle of Prosecco on ice awaiting our arrival. Grace was easy to contact and responded quickly to any enquiries. There is convenient parking very close to the property. Warkworth is an excellent base, close to the coast and to interesting places further inland. There are several good quality restaurants within walking distance.

The property is immaculate, location couldn’t be better - river, sandy beaches, friendly village and harbour all within walking distance. Beatrice Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay - well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and many other thoughtful touches, for example, a very useful information folder. Not forgetting, a generous welcome basket of goodies.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and were sorry it was only a week. In particular, big thank you to Grace for providing a lovely cottage and being wonderful support for queries and information.

Beatrice Cottage comprises of a fully equipped kitchen-diner with solid wood worktops, ‘Fired Earth’ tiles, dining table and booth seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for your stay. Utilities include a washing machine, slimline dishwasher, fridge/freezer, wine fridge, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine, oven and induction hob.
The cottage lounge has relaxed calming décor, with a traditional sandstone inglenook fireplace and log burning stove. A complimentary starter supply of logs, kindling and fire-lighters are provided in the cooler months. There is a 40 inch HD LED Freeview flat screen TV, with complimentary Netflix and an Amazon Alexa echo dot. You will find a selection of board games and books too, perfect for a cosy night in.
There is free unlimited WIFI throughout the cottage.
Also on the ground floor is a downstairs WC. Stairs with a banister lead up to the two upstairs en-suite bedrooms.
Be sure to look out of the window at the top of the stairs to see Warkworth Castle on the hill!
The Master bedroom has a sumptuous king size bed, deep memory foam mattress, two chest of drawers and a wooden trunk to rest your suitcase.
Lie in bed and take in the views of Warkworth Castle and enjoy a soak in the deep freestanding bathtub in the master en-suite.
Step down one step into the spacious en-suite bathroom with heated towel rail, shower, wash basin and wc. Natural stone effect tiles and chrome fittings.
Hairdryer and complimentary refillable British toiletries are included.
The second bedroom has a small double bed (sleeps one), deep memory foam mattress and chest of drawers, views of the River Coquet and Amble Marina in the distance. This room is also en-suite with a heated towel rail, beautiful natural stone effect tiles, large walk-in shower, wash basin and wc.
Both bedrooms have hanging hooks for clothes and coat hangers are provided.
Each of the four cottages in the courtyard has their own piece of courtyard garden to enjoy at the front of the properties. Relax on the wooden bench, enjoying the stillness in the courtyard garden and catch those summer rays - The courtyard is a real sun trap! To the rear of the cottage is a pebbled and planted rear yard garden with sofa seating, armchair and coffee table.
Perfect for relaxing alfresco.
